Jose is an accomplished mountaineer, rock and winter climber, mountain skier and trail runner. Originally from Denia on the East coast of Spain, since 2001 he lives and works in London.
Over the past 20 years he has combined his professional career with expeditions, adventures and extreme sporting activities. Jose has participated in a number of expeditions, including the expedition to the Karakorum region of Pakistan in 2006 where he tried a solo attempt to the Juniper Peaks and Monk’s Head of Rakaposhi. He is also one of the few climbers to summit the Ama Dablam in the Himalayas in 2015.
Jose is one of the Wild Wolf team athletes and a full member of the prestigious Alpine Club – the world’s first mountaineering club and leading institution for climbers and mountaineers.
In preparation of the Elbrus expedition, Jose has been training this past Winter in Sierra Nevada Ski Resort Sierra Nevada Ski Resort (Granada – Spain). In the Pyrenees areas of Montserrat and Cadi, and in the Montgo massif in Denia. This Summer his training plan included alpine ascents of 4,000m in the Alps and visits to the Lakes and Scotland.
